Welcome to the home page of the Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. The Commemorative Air Force, or CAF for short, originally was formed in 1951 to attempt to preserve a representation of each aircraft flown during World War II. Originally known as the Confederate Air Force, in 2001, the new name of the Commemorative Air Force was voted in by the membership. Recently, the CAF has decided to expand through the Vietnam War in it's attempts to preserve military aircraft representation. The CAF currently owns around 140 aircraft with over 11,000 members worldwide. The Utah Wing was formed in the mid-1980s with its first aircraft, a Boeing PT-17/N2S Stearman. Just this year, the wing acquired a Beech C-45 Expeditor. Individual members of the Utah CAF also have some notable aircraft such as a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon, a Stinson L-5 Sentinel, Nanchang CJ-6, and an Engineering & Research 415 Aerocoupe. Any of these aircraft are available for air shows, special events, or fly-bys. Just contact us for pricing.

If you are interested in joining our group or at least seeing more about what we are all about, please contact us. You do not have to be a pilot or have any other aviation related experience, just a love of maintaining history. Our group needs volunteers to help show the museum, man our "PX" booth, be a CAF representative, work around our aircraft, be aircrew, and other jobs.
The Commemorative Air Force is a worldwide, all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and demonstration of the magnificent aircraft that dominated the skies during World War II. For more information on the goals and objectives of the CAF please click on the "CAF Objectives" button above or visit the national website at
The Commemorative Air Force is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated under Utah laws for charitable and educational purposes.
