What your donation buys….

The Wasp Jr. engine on the Stearman costs $45,000 to replace.

Spark Plugs on the Stearman cost $20 each and there are 18 on this engine

100 Octane Aviation Fuel = $6 per gal

(The Stearman uses 18 gallon/hour !)

Aviation Engine Oil = $21 per gal

(The Stearman uses 1/2 gallon/hour)

What may not be obvious is that to keep this engine from losing bolts, we use something called Safety Wire.  This keeps every bolt from vibrating off and causing the unthinkable.
(This Safety Wire can costs about $10)

MUSEUM DONATION
So --no matter what amount you are able to help with, there is one thing certain...  It will definitely be used to help keep these WWII aircraft airworthy.  By clicking above you can do just that and remember - the Commemorative Air Force is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization.
